I need a small OS source to learn Os programing?

I need a very small shell and kernel to learn the os progrming.
the languanges that I know are c, c++, java, python, pascal, vb, php… and of course assembly
I prefer the small os is written with c and assembly.
please don’t mention linux or Unix becuase they are too big

What you probably want is an embed OS. Thats the type that they use in really appliances like microwaves, watches, cars, vending machines, ATMs, toys, gaming consoles, etc. Very bare bones, very small, but stable and secure.

It still is usually linux or unix based but they would be googled for as the embed version. Google for embed OS and you will have lots of choices.
